Unit 42 is Employability Skills
Learners need skills of employability as a precondition for entering various organizations. As a result, it can be said that learners will consider skills such as interpersonal and communication skills, group dynamics and interpersonal skills, and development of leadership and communication skills. The requirement of solving problems and recognition of the difficulty and then solving the appropriate problem with the help of evaluating results are learned in this unit. The professional and personal growth of the skills of employees is extremely important for carrying out the processes of business in organizations. As a result, it can be seen that employees are often taken aback by acquiring proper employability skills.
LO1 Be able to determine own responsibilities and performance
Leadership skills help in the development of own responsibilities like choice creation processes, direct indirect relationships as well as adaptability, capacity to study and extend the role of work, the legislation of employment and ethics, privileges, and tasks of employment. Setting and monitoring of objectives lead to meeting the performance objectives. The uses of performance appraisal systems by means of performance appraisal salary levels and bonus payments, promotion of strengths and weaknesses, training needs and communication appraisal has to be adopted. Production and personal data, rating methods and ranking methods, paired comparison, checklist, and management by objectives are to be evaluated. Application and appraisal of motivational theories can cause further growth.
LO2 Be able to develop interpersonal and transferable skills
Various forms of communication can be developed through frankness and receptiveness and all kinds of feedback from colleagues. Team meetings lead to the generation of effective communication. Interpersonal skills are developed by socializing and working with others. Time management skills are acquired by setting up of objectives, creating an instance for learning, and making a dependable estimation of job time. Problem-solving skills by making a problem analysis and arriving at changes in the workplace, generating solutions as well as making use of appropriate solutions can help in proper inhibition of employability skills.
LO3 Understand the dynamics of working with others
Working with others will provide a proper understanding of the nature of teamwork and the development of long term and informal goals. Proper teamwork can be generated and identification of team roles along with building up of team loyalty, commitment to sharing benefits, controlling and feedback, coaching skills and effectual leadership for setting the right direction, principles, being responsive, and being a communicator with consistency can be established.
LO4 Be able to develop strategies for problem-solving
A proper definition of the problem has to be identified and analyzed. Identification and assessment of possible outcomes can be identified appropriately. Selecting the corrective action like identification of stages, resources, time scale, and critical path analysis can help in the planning and implementing a proper strategy for development. A proper evaluation of whether the problem has been solved or not, the size of solutions against the outcomes, and sustainability have to be done in a proper way.
